Raj Biogas & Enviro Solutions is a for-profit social enterprise, spearheaded by Zahir Kapasi. We help farmers and companies to minimize waste and maximize resources. The basic function of the company is source and implement projects in biogas and solid waste management for farmers and companies in rural and semi-urban markets. The company has arrangement with manufacturers in India to promote, market, and distribute enviro product – Biogas Plants, Vermibeds and Improved Biomass Cookstoves (Chulhas). We promote decentralized biogas technology for sustainable agriculture to reduce use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides. We also promote clean cooking technologies to address the problem of indoor air pollution and adverse health impacts associated with the traditional biomass based cooking. We enable companies to embrace sustainability in their operational activities and enhance their brand image as socially responsible first.
